Religon

With the growing amount of people coming to Canada, religion began to grow to grow as well. Of these many cultures, three main religions seem to come up throughout most of Canada. The first main belief system is Catholicism. The Catholic religion was most prominent in Canada East (Quebec). This is probably because it is the main belief system in France. As well as the french, some of the natives were also catholic (due to the conversions of this time). The Protestant religion, being founded by the British, was mainly situated in the English-speaking parts of Canada. It spread from the Maritimes all the way to British Columbia (excluding Quebec). Because of the vast array of native tribes inhibiting British Columbia, a third religion was known in Canada. Almost every native group had its own unique religion, which was usually based on one basic belief.
